Burley Spudman Triathlon – Parking Service Project

Serving the community in more ways than one!
Each year, the Burley Rotary Club teams up with the Burley Lions Club to help them with parking during their big fundraiser: The Burley Spudman Triathlon.
The Spudman is a huge event that draws in over 2,000 athletes from all over the United States. Proceeds go to support local charities and other projects for the Lions Club. It is a fantastic event and the Burley Rotary Club is proud to be able to support them in their cause.
As a result of our support, the Lions Club donates money back to our club to help us in our Annual School Supply Project. By raising funds through this and other fundraisers and through donations of local businesses and individuals, we are able to pay it forward and help out the local community even more.
Parking Professionals:
Our assignment each year is to set-up and direct the parking of vehicles at the race venue. Our club members arrive several hours before the event check-in begins on Friday and start to set up the parking. Most of the participants of the event come from outside of our local area, so it is a challenge to both direct traffic and answer the many questions that get thrown at us!
It is a fun way to serve the local community and another great way for our club to make our presence known.
